Daily Records/R.E.C.s Biography In 2002 a gospel rap ministry which goes by the name of R.E.C (Revealing, Evangelistic, Concepts) was formed. The group consisted of three members Earl Dix Jr. aka (T.M.P.), Rodney Shurelds (C.H.A.C.E.) and Chris Tucker. Rudy Mcgill aka R.H.I.N.O. would later join as the first solo artist of R.E.C.s record label, Daily Records. The Label is headed by Earl Dix Jr. and Rodney Shurelds. Daily Records now has two solo artist; , Gritty, and S.M. Souljah, and one group being, R.E.C. Rodney and Earl both spent most of their child hood in Killeen Texas. Rodney graduated from Killen High School and Earl Graduated from Shoemaker High School, both in Killeen Texas. Earl is now enrolled at Ashford University as a Business Administration. The church that these young men attend and have attended since 1993 (New Zion Christian Fellowship) can also be considered a Bible College. The intensive training that Rodney and Earl have been under since young boys is one of the main reasons they are able to be effective, youth leaders, musicians, as well as artist. These brothers were inspired to start their music career January of 2002 when they entered a talent show that their churchs youth group put together, along with a dinner musical. The three R.E.C. originals, Rodney, Earl and Chris, which later moved away, decided to do one of Prime ministers songs, sanctified slide and won first place. They did the same song at the dinner musical and also got to hear two other gospel rap groups which encouraged them even the more. It wasnt just them winning first place in the talent show, or hearing the other ministers that cause them to begin their ministry. Rodney and Earl were inspired by the Holy Ghost, who showed them a generation that was being sifted by the devil, through the media. This is one of the main reasons that these young men decided to start a movement (DAILY RECORDS) out of Killeen Texas, filled with artist that have the mindset and heart to turn the hearts of people to the Lord Jesus Christ. Both of the boys have a pretty good musical back ground Earl is a drummer and also plays the key board, Rodney doesnt play an instrument but him and Earl have been around music since they were young , and have grown to love and appreciate it; and understand the power it has. Neither of these young men rapped before they came to Christ but both were influenced in some way by rap music. Some of the rappers they listened to before they came to Christ were Jay z, Lil Wayne, 2-pac, ecc until introduced to Christian rappers like lil raskul, prime minister, Da Truth, Flame, LeCrae and many more. Its a blessing that these young men are in a position to minister now because they might have been raised in the church but the church wasnt in them. They were in church on Wednesday and Sunday but their off time was devoted to clubs, parties or what ever they thought they could get away with. It took many different situations from getting caught stealing, people getting shot, or even them getting shot at for them to realize that God has purpose on their life and he wouldnt have spared their lives so many times if he didnt want to use them as willing vessels. These young men understand that God called them at a young age for a reason, and thats because they are strong and with his power they can reach their Generation with the Gospel. Every day is a press but they were taught by their spiritual guardians Bishop and First Lady Grace very well. They were taught, You cant expect increase without opposition. If you want something you never had you have to be willing to do something you never done. Look Ever forward and Never backwards, also to be like a RHINO Remain Holy in Negative Opposition.
